If you choose a target bid, you can enter as many bids as possible. You can target more users while controlling your budget. All you have to do is set the budget you want to spend for each click.
Twitter will automatically reduce your auction by 20% of your input.
For example, suppose you bid $4 per click. To win this, Twitter will auction at $3.20 per click and $4.80 per click. Therefore, your bid will be average.
The target bid can give you a larger base of supporters than the highest bid. Because Twitter doesn't allow you to win with the lowest bid.
Both the highest and target bids are better than automatic bids. And choosing either of these options can improve your ad performance and save some money.
